Program
Description
Outcome
Goals ::
The primary outcome of the qualifying training is that participants
learn how to effectively relate the results of the SL-TDI to their
clients for the purpose of adult development. A second important
outcome is that participants develop proficiency and flexibility
in interpreting SL-TDI results,
In addition to the training, the tuition includes the SL-TDI computer software (written for Windows based computers). The software makes it possible for your clients to take the SL-TDI on your computer or you can input the results of the computer recording form and generate either 6-page brief reports or 30 page full reports.
Learning
Objectives ::
- Learn to Interpret
Results : Considerable time is spent practicing interpreting
SL-TDI results and building Type Profiles; the six inventories
each person administered before the workshop are an integral part
of this learning process. Special attention is devoted to relationships
among the eight Type capacities and how their interaction relates
to individual development.
- Apply to Your Work
: Over two-thirds of the program is devoted to developmental
applications at the individual level. The workshop begins with
a demonstration of how to bridge SL-TDI results to everyday situations
and emphasizes strategies for promoting individual development.
You will have opportunities to relate the use of the SL-TDI to
your own work and your interests.
- Know Design Characteristics
and Statistical Performance : Information about the history
and development of the SL-TDI is presented. Test and measurement
concepts are stressed throughout to insure a professional level
of knowledge about the technical design of the Inventory. In particular,
reliability, validity and ethical standards, established by the
American Psychological Association for the administration of personality
inventories are addressed.
- Understand the
Role of Typology and Jungian Psychology : The program takes
into consideration other concepts of Jungian psychology (such
as the persona, ego and shadow) and clarifies the relationship
of typology to them. In particular, the relationship of the Least
Developed Type capacity and the shadow is stressed.
Demonstration
of Proficiency ::
Every participant
in the 3 1/2 Day Qualification Training is required to take the
Proficiency Exam. For those already Level B Qualified, the results
will help inform how much learning has occurred.
For those needing Level B Qualification, passing the Exam at a specified
level and interpreting a SL-TDI will serve as evidence of Level
B Qualification.
