Us
Moving Boundaries, inc.
was created in early 1996. Its principle purposes were and are fourfold:
1) Stewardship of the Singer-Loomis Type Deployment Inventory
(SL-TDI),
2) Developing and publishing materials to support the use of SL-TDI
results in a various settings or applications and 3) Providing qualification
training in how to use the SL-TDI and 4) Delivering customized consulting
to organizations. The two principals of the firm, Drs. Elizabeth
Kirkhart and Larry Kirkhart, bring many years of domestic and international
management and organization development experience to the building
of the Moving Boundaries organization.
Elizabeth
Kirkhart has a lengthy career as an independent consultant
to organizations, developed a continuing education program for Georgetown
University, was Director of Training for a U.S. federal agency,
served for several years at the internal manager of a large organization
development project in a different U.S. federal agency and is a
practicing psychologist. Larry Kirkhart has
taught graduate courses in the Applied Behavioral Sciences as postdoctoral
fellow at the Federal Executive Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia,
as a faculty member of the Maxwell School at Syracuse University,
the Political Science Department of Louisiana University and the
School of Public Administration in the University of Southern California.
He periodically Chaired the Applied Behavioral Sciences Program
at the University of Southern California for 20 years. He was Director
of Training and Organization Development for 2 years and Chief-of-Party
for 1 year in the Pakistan based Development Support Training Project.
He resigned a tenured faculty position in 1992 to join Elizabeth
in the creation of Moving Boundaries.
A core goal of Moving
Boundaries is the evolution of a substantial network of trained
professionals who can educate others in the use of the SL-TDI and
creatively and effectively use the SL-TDI in their practices. This
goal is supported by a talented and dedicated staff committed to
providing exceptional service to our clients.
